A night in Cirencester

The following pictures were
taken during a night in Cirencester back in about 93/94. A good time was
had by all, and everyone ended up having far too much to drink as some
of the pictures below will show.
At the time a group of
about 15 of us played or watched a pool team from the Woodbine pub
(Cirencester) called the Voody Vankers and we often met up with a lot of
other friends in the area, which led to many brilliant nights out,
weekends away, etc.

The night started with a
few games of pool. Rich (Left) and Paul (Polly) showing the rest of us
how it's done.

Myself and Rich decided to
make a note of when and how quickly we got drunk. So for some reason we
took photo's of us indicating the time every hour. So it's 9:00PM....
Unfortunately we were half drunk before 10PM and didn't take any more
pictures until the end of the night.

Rich and Tony pose for the
camera after another doubles victory. Whilst later on outside we all
decide to recreate a scene from Evil Dead 3 (Army of darkness)... You
know the scene where the skeletons all punch Ash at the same time??
Well we thought it was funny.

By 11pm we have reached the
nightclub (The Rock Cafe as it was known then) and yet again myself and
Rich have another dumb assed idea to pose for a stupid picture for the
camera... Unfortunately after several attempts and SEVERAL pints, we
can't do it for laughing.

We must have been really
annoying gits when we went out with this crowd in the early 90's. We
were by far the youngest two there and were constantly trying to wind
people up and play drunken tricks on them. Here we are (Left) trying to
intimidate Polly with our hardmen looks. Although we only succeed in
making him laugh.
Reinforcements are needed,
so we call in the cavalry to help out. Karen, Chris and John help out.

By 2:00am we are at Greasy
Joe's and back on schedule with the recording of the time. Although I
remember being far too drunk to notice anything at this time. I was told
afterwards that I somehow managed to finish off a huge carton of chips
that I had accidentally covered in an entire bottle of salad cream.
Karen and Rich desperately
struggle to remember how many fingers they are supposed to be showing to
the camera as they lean against each other for support. Unfortunately
Richard's hair lost it's support long ago.

We finally get home at
about 3am, slightly worse for wear. Karen and Heather (Richard's sister)
try to prove they are not drunk by balancing saucepans on their heads
(Left)...... Unfortunately for them, they fail dismally.
