My Friends
Updated - 05/07/04 (Lots more pictures added)
Darren 'Shag' Keel (Right: Darren before a recent fancy dress party)
Darren is definatly the oldest friend that I am still in touch with today. We've been friends now for about 23 years and despite a few fall outs over the years, we have remained good friends. Darren is married and has 3 children, which (What with my family life) limits the time we spend together, but when we do find time to have a round of golf or go out drinking, we usually have a great laugh.
Darren is
probably the biggest pervert you will ever meet
Most
of what Darren says is in joke though, and despite being the most
unreliable person I know Have lost touch with Darren more and more this year as Darren never seems to want to come out anymore. Boring fart!
Andy 'Robbie' Robson
Andy is Darren's (Above) cousin, but was in the same year as me at school. I lost touch with Andy for several years during the 90's, but he is certainly one of my best friends now. Andy is the
man you want to go out with if drinking is the order of the day
Andy is much more of a friend than that though, and I think of him in high regard. He has been a great friend when I have needed one and I hope he see's me the same way. Andy is another I haven't seen for a while. Although he recently informed me he is getting married, so congratulations matey.
Neil 'Screamking' Dejyothin
I have only known Neil for about 4 years, but the young whizzkid is a legend in his own right. Screamking (As he is fondly known) was the creator of Soccer all stars, a free fantasy football web site, which went on to become the most renown game in the football role-playing genre. Neil has become a great friend to me over the past few years, and although I have only met him once, I speak to him almost daily on the internet and see him as one of my greatest friends. Neil now works for Sports Interactive (Makers of the Championship manager series) and is enjoying the experience a great deal. We still speak on MSN when we are both on, but both are too busy nowadays to talk for long.
Dean 'Deano' Birkett
Deano is another who has been a really good friend in the past 3 years or so. He was the one guy who helped me launch and maintain my PFM football web site when I first started it, and he now puts a hell of a lot of effort into the site, not to mention money. Dean is originally from Blackpool, England but now lives in Holland. So although I never get to see Dean, we speak most day's and have recently chatted via web cam. Deano listens to a lot of my drivel whenever I am depressed and for that I owe him a big thanks. Although I haven't known Dean that long, along with Neil he has become a very good friend. Don't speak to Dean as much since PFM closed it's doors, although we do still keep in touch when we can, and the return of PFM is still a possibility, especially when Dean mopves back to England later this year.
Most other good friends I've either lost touch with, haven't known that long or they have moved away. But for any who find this site... I haven't forgotten you (See below).
Vito Mazotta - A good friend at school who I'd lost touch with. Although have been in touch again. (Pic added May 04)
Darren Stevens - Known by most as Stevie (Most people still think his name is Steve). Darren was one of a group of friends I hung out with for several years in the late 80's and early 90's. He lives in the same street as my parents, so I still see him every so often. Always used to bump into him wherever I used to go out drinking, even if it was away from Swindon. (Picture added 05/07/04) - Darren back in 1990.
Dave Scribbins - Another of the group of friends I hung out with for a while. Along with Stevie (Above), Wayne, Darren (Further above), Robbie (Above), Steven (Muggy and a couple of others, we formed a pretty good 6 a side team for a couple of seasons, as well as going out drinking every weekend during the early 90's. Dave and Stevie still remain very good friends today and I often see them out drinking around Swindon. (Picture added 05/07/04) - Taken on the last day of school in 1989.
Wayne Skinner - Wayne is the 3rd from the group mentioned above and was a good friend during the late 80's and 90's. I still see him out and about with Dave and Darren (Above) to complete the 3 musketeers. wayne also lives in the same road as my parents, so I bump into him every so often. Also know his brother. (Picture added 05/07/04) - Picture taken on the last day of school. Although Wayne is a year younger.
Cory Skilton - Cory is another friend who has been a massive help on PFM, and I speak to him whenever I get onto MSN chat. Dominik Kolacz - A good friend I know through the internet, Dom has helped me out with a few things over the past couple of years, and created my original forums. Shane Belcher - Was a very good friend during the early 90's, but unfortunately we have lost touch. Hal Kirkin - A great friend for a few years in the early 90's, unfortunately he moved back to his home land (Turkey).
Jason Miles -
Another friend from the ages of 14-20 who I have only seen once or twice
in the past decade. Jason was a good friend to have when he was on your
side, but could be a real pain in the ass when he wanted to be.
Especially teamed up with Duncan (Froud).. Jees! What a pair to get on
the wrong side of LOL. (Picture added 05/07/04) - I think poser is the
word your looking for
Nick Watt
- Another friend I lost touch with for many years, although have been in
touch recently via email. Nick has just become a dad
Ani Palat - A good friend I met through the fantasy football scene. Remains a good friend today. (Pic added May 04)
F1NGer's - A group of fellow F1 fanatics I speak to on a regular basis from the F1NGer's newsgroup. There are far too many to list, although I've been chatting to the likes of Kenny, Pat, Geoff, Ade, Paul, Sabina, Rich, Krash, Avi, Dave, Bob, Toof, Steven, Inga, Jim, Juan and Brian for years. Peter Fodor - My best friend in early life, who unfortunately moved away about 20 years ago now. I've seen him a few times since then and we've recently been in touch again by email. Matthew Trotman - Matty is another old friend who I haven't seen for a while. Unfortunately he went off the rails a little but it looks like he is now getting himself sorted out. I see him every so often but not for a while now. (Picture added 05/07/04) - Matty at a party in the early 90's.
Darren Kearly - A good friend in my early to late teens. Moved away in the early 90's. Saw him a couple of times in the mid 90's but haven't heard anything about him for years. If anyone still keeps in touch with Darren then let me know as a few of us would like to see him again. (Picture added 05/07/04) - About the only picture we could find of Darren.
Kevin Little - Another good friend from the early 90's. Worked with Kevin for about 3 years and we found we had a lot in common. Lost touch after I left St Ivel in 1993. Trish Pickett - A good friend I worked with in the early 90's. I got on very well with Trish and her then boyfriend Phil. Had a few funny nights out with a great bunch of work mates from 'CD Specialists'. Would love to hear from any again... Trish, Sarah, Rhianne, Keith, Alan, Colin, Julie, etc. Andrew Oscroft - Last but definatly not least is Andy. Andy was a very good friend during my school days and was always up and in a good mood. He changed dramatically after we left school and we lost touch. I hadn't seen him for about a year, but was shocked to hear that he died late last year (2002). RIP Andy, you are missed by many. (Picture added 05/07/04) - Andy is the one at the front, unfortunately this is about the best picture I have of him.
